This website discusses issues such as economic inequality, employment trends, health insurance, government fiscal policy, and other “pocketbook” issues with implications for the kind of society we are creating. The goal is to go beneath the surface of what is commonly heard in the mass media, too much of which is shallow and polemical, and provide useful background for citizens trying to understand the issues. Most of the posts are in-depth reviews of recent works. See the Books Reviewed and Articles Reviewed pages for a complete list.
